Ingredients
250 gr of bulgur
300 ml of water, boiling
50 gr of parsley, thin chopped
50 gr of scallion, thin chopped
25 gr of fresh mint leaves, thin chopped
100 gr gentiline lettuce, cut in 1 cm strips
1 onion, thin chopped
100 ml extra-virgin olive oil
2 spoons of Mutti concentrated tomato paste
2 spoons of turkish pepper paste
1 lemon, juiced
2 spoons of pomegranate sauce
2 tomatoes, cut in 1 cm cubes
1 cucumber, cut in 1 cm cubes
1 small spoon of turkish allspice (yenibahar)
1 small spoon of ground cumin
0.5 small spoon of ground black pepper
1 spoon of isot pepper
salt
Preparation
Put the bulgur in a large bowl, boil it with boiling water, stir a few times and cover with a lid or film. Let it rest so for at least 20 minutes.
In another bowl, mix parsley, scallions, mint, gentiline salad, tomatoes and cucumber.
In the meantime, you can have the onion in a pan with olive oil. When the onion becomes transparent, add the tomato paste and pepper paste and cook for 5 minutes. Let it cool for a while.
Take the bowl of bulgur, add the onion sauce, lemon juice, pomegranate sauce, spices and salt. Mix everything good for 5 minutes. Finally add the other bowl ingredients (fresh vegetables), mix it all for a couple of times and your Kisir is ready!
